COVID-19 Updates

Pearland Pediatric Dentistry is concerned with the health and well-being of our patients, our team, and our community.  We have implemented new procedures in the office for everyone's benefit. As always, we are following strict infection control guidelines for our patients and our team!

When you schedule your child’s dental appointment, you will be asked COVID 19 Screening questions.

Before you bring your child to their appointment, you will complete the COVID 19 Screening Form on our website for your child and for the adult bringing your child to their appointment at least 2 days before the appointment. Please follow the link or access the form in Patient Forms or from the home page.

If your or your child have tested COVID 19 positive, your child's appointment will be scheduled 2 weeks after everyone in your house is fever free for at lest 24 hours and everyone's symptoms have improved.

For each appointment, we request that only one adult accompanies their child into the office, and we ask that only children with dental appointments come into the office, when possible.

Everyone that comes into the office will complete another COVID 19 Screening Form and have their temperature taken.  If anyone has a temperature over 100 degrees F, you will be asked to reschedule the appointment.

We ask for you to please call to reschedule your child's appointment if:

     - If anybody in the home is having any COVID 19 symptoms.

     - If you or your child has had a fever within 24 hours of the appointment.

     - If you anybody in the house is waiting for COVID 19 test results.

     - If anybody in the house has been in contact with a confirmed COVID 19 positive individual within the past 2 weeks.

    - If you are either in self isolation or quarantine due to travel outside of the US or on a cruise ship within the past 14 days.

After you check-in, if  there is an unexpected wait, your child is welcome to wait in the car with you in our parking lot.

We have removed all toys, books and magazines since they are difficult to disinfect.

We are a no hand-shake, no high-five office at this time. We will still welcome air high fives.

Once in the office, everyone is to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer. Parents/adults are asked to use hand sanitizer before using the check-in computer and signature pads.

During your child’s appointment, you are welcome to wait in your car in Pearland Pediatric Dentistry’s parking lot. The doctor can call you to review your child’s appointment and the administrative team can obtain your payment over the phone. Every patient under the age of 18 years old must have an adult present on Pearland Pediatric Dentistry's property, so please do not leave the parking lot.

Our clinical team will wear additional PPE for their safety and the safety of your child. We will keep the office at a cooler temperature for their comfort so bring outerwear.

Due to the limits of PPE for our team, we ask families to bring and wear their own masks inside the office. Masks/facial coverings are required for everyone over the age of 2 years. If you have a medical concern, please call in advance to speak with a doctor.

All scheduled appointments have been altered to aid in social distancing.

Since we are devoting more time and preparation for each appointment, we now ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. If we are informed less than 48 hours in advance, there will be a $75 fee.

Please call our office at 713-436-4080 to schedule your child’s appointment.

We appreciate your understanding.

See you soon and stay healthy,

Pearland Pediatric Dentistry
